  73. "Puffwort's Evil Scheme" is a new game (DOS 16 color 286/better) that
  74. you will LOVE! You are pitted against an evil wizard who is attempting
  75. to bring suffering to his land. You're the hero sent to save the people.
  76. You'll be confronted by obstacles such as locked room, torture pit,
  77. maze, and other challenges. Believe it or not, players can actually win
  78. REAL prizes! There's MORE! Not only is the game filled with excitement,
  79. humor, drama, and fun, it points out deception in cigarette advertising
  80. and dangers of tobacco use.

  83. version includes all features of the program, and is not crippled in any
  84. way. If you like the program, and wish to use it you are required to pay

  151. ===== Installation =====================================

  153. The installation procedure for "Puffwort's Evil Scheme" is quite simple.
  154. The package includes a program, "INSTALL.BAT", which automates the
  155. entire process. You will need about 1390-K of available disk space on
  156. the hard drive on which you plan to install PUFFWORT.
  157.  
  158. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  159. PUFFWORT.
  160.  
  161.  
  162. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  163.  
  164. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  165.  
  166.    o  Place PUFFWORT distribution diskette in the appropriate diskette
  167.       drive.
  168.  
  169.    o  Make sure the drive where your diskette is located is the active
  170.       drive. For example, if your diskette is in drive A you will
  171.       enter A:. To run the INSTALL.BAT program enter INSTALL followed
  172.       by your hard drive letter and a colon. For example, if your
  173.       hard drive letter is C you would enter INSTALL C:.
  174.  
  175.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  176.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  177.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive. The
  178.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  179.       the PUFFWORT files to that directory.
  180.  
  181.    o  To run the program enter PUFF from the PUFFWORT directory. All
  182.       instructions are included in the game. During play, easy to
  183.       follow prompts and instruction screens will be displayed as
  184.       needed.

  186. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  187.  
  188. If you downloaded "Puffwort's Evil Scheme" from a BBS (or received it
  189. in the form of archive files from some other source), you will need to
  190. perform the following steps.
  191.  
  192.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  193.       directory on your hard drive. The procedure for doing this
  194.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  195.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  196.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  197.       perform this step. If not, you should be able to obtain
  198.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  199.       the package.

  201.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.BAT" program which you have extracted. For
  202.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  203.       the PUFFWORT package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would make sure your hard

  205.       you would enter C:. Then make sure your are in the \TEMPDIR\
  206.       directory by entering CD\TEMPDIR. Then run the INSTALL.BAT program

  216. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed PUFFWORT
  217. (C:\TEMPDIR, in the above discussion), including all its contents.
